A Heart-Touching Love Story: "The Last Letter"
Chapter 1: The Silent Love
Farhan had always loved Aisha, but he never had the courage to tell her. They had been best friends since childhood, growing up in the same neighborhood, sharing dreams under the stars, and supporting each other through life’s struggles.
Aisha, full of life and laughter, never noticed the depth of Farhan’s feelings. To her, he was her safe place, her closest friend. To him, she was everything.
One day, Aisha excitedly told Farhan, “I’ve met someone, Farhan. His name is Hamza. He’s kind, caring… I think he’s the one.”
Farhan’s heart shattered, but he smiled. “That’s amazing, Aisha. You deserve the best.”
That night, he sat alone in his room, staring at the ceiling. He wanted to confess, but how could he when she was already happy?
Chapter 2: The Hidden Pain
Aisha got engaged, and Farhan was there for her every step of the way. He helped her choose her wedding dress, listened to her endless excitement, and hid his own pain behind a smile.
One evening, she found him sitting quietly by the river where they used to talk. “Farhan, you’ve been distant. Are you okay?”
He forced a smile. “Of course, Aisha. Just busy with life.”
She leaned on his shoulder. “Promise me, no matter what happens, you’ll always be my best friend.”
His throat tightened, but he nodded. “I promise.”
Chapter 3: The Letter He Never Sent
The night before Aisha’s wedding, Farhan sat down and wrote a letter.
"Dear Aisha,
I have loved you in silence for years. Every laugh, every tear, every dream we shared—I cherished them all. But you found your happiness, and that’s all I ever wanted for you.
Tomorrow, you’ll belong to someone else, and I’ll let you go. But know this—if love is about sacrifice, then I have loved you more than words can ever express.
Goodbye, my love.
— Farhan”
He sealed the letter in an envelope, planning to give it to her. But when he saw her on her wedding day, glowing with happiness, he couldn’t do it. Instead, he placed the letter inside a book she had once gifted him and walked away.
Chapter 4: Fate’s Cruel Twist
Years passed, and Farhan moved on—at least, that’s what he told himself. Aisha had a family now, a life of her own. They lost touch over time.
One evening, he received a call. Aisha was in the hospital. He rushed there, only to find her husband standing outside the ICU, tears in his eyes.
“She asked for you,” Hamza said.
Farhan stepped inside, his heart pounding. Aisha lay weak on the bed, her once bright eyes now tired. But she smiled when she saw him.
“I found your letter,” she whispered.
His breath caught. “What?”
She pointed to the book on her bedside table. “I found it after all these years. Why didn’t you tell me, Farhan?”
Tears filled his eyes. “Because I wanted you to be happy.”
She smiled sadly. “You fool. I was happy, but a part of me always felt something was missing. Maybe it was you.”
She held his hand. “In another life, maybe?”
He nodded, his tears falling. “In another life.”
That night, Aisha closed her eyes forever, leaving behind memories, regrets, and a love that was never spoken in time.
And Farhan? He kept her last words in his heart, waiting for the day they’d meet again—perhaps in another life, where timing wouldn’t be so cruel.
